He is survived by: his wife Julia Michael Scott; his children, Robert "Bobby" Scott and LeighAnn Gabriel (Tom); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Reeve (Michael), Robert Carl Scott (Blue), Emily Scott and Elise Scott; his great grandchildren, Jensen, Bennett and Elza; his stepgrandson Rob Gabriel; his stepgreat-grandsons, Jackson Gabriel and Grayson Gabriel; and his sister Treva Nannette "Susie" Rowland.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jagers Funeral Home (24 Morris Ave, Athens, OH 45701). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Jagers & Sons Funeral Home (24 Morris Ave, Athens, OH 45701).
