He was predeceased by : his parents, Jerry L. Steward and Virginia "Ginny" L. Neutzling Steward; his grandparents, Kenneth, Marcella Steward, Harry and Nell Neutzling; and his cousin Jennifer Jackson.

He is survived by : his sister Amy Pretzer of Batesville, IN; his uncle Larry; his aunt Joy Scriven of Springfield, MO; his cousins, Denise Slagle (David) of Ash Grove, MO and Margery Patterson (Rudy) of Springfield, MO; and his friend Jeff Seaman (JoAnn) of Pickerington, OH..

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Choral Scholar Ministry of the Church of the Good Shephard, 64 University Terrace, Athens, Ohio 45701 in Steve's memory.
