It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Terry Spears of Athens, Ohio, who passed away on April 3, 2026, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Terry leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Terry may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Spears and Mable Charlene Nutt Spears; his wife Luerna Giffin Spears; his grandson Travis Spears; and his siblings, Harold "Junior" Spears, Betty Atkins and Virginia "Buttons" Spears.
He is survived by: his children, Harold Joseph Spears Sr., Gary Giffin (Micaela) and Paula Giffin; his grandson Harold Joseph Spears Jr.; and his siblings, Delmer Spears (Connie) and Rose Bryan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
