It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willa Jean Hawk of Athens, Ohio, who passed away on May 13, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. VanDyke and Daisy Douglas VanDyke; her husband Merle Albert Hawk; and her brothers, William Jesse VanDyke, Wilbur Joe VanDyke and Willis James VanDyke.

She is survived by: her children, Judith Lynn, Gerald (Kathy) and Albert "Shorty" Hawk (Pennie); her granddaughters, Tess Marks, Brandie and Mackenzie Hawk; her sisters, Willena "Jackie" VanDyke and Wanda Dorr; and her sister-in-law Pam VanDyke.
