He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Beat and Mercedes Beat (Graber); and his siblings, Col. Anthony "Tony", Jeffrey Beat and Marlene Beat.
He is survived by: his children, Jason Beat (Erin) of Attica, Melinda Beat (Amanda Butcher) of Parma and Jennifer Work (Stephen) of Sandusky; and his siblings, Mark Beat (Cindy) of Attica, Christine Hillman (Dick) of Arizona and Charlene Bono (Fred) of Arizona. He is also survived by five granddaughters.
