He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Beard and Rose Beard (Sweet); his wife Jennifer Ann "Maw" Beard; his daughter Lori A. Shade; his granddaughter Amber Claytor; and his sisters, Mary Beard and Amy Miles.

He is survived by: his children, Brian Featheringill (Carla), Joshua Beard (Tammy), Amanda Zellner (William), Jason Beard (Laura), Jeremy Beard (Andrea) and Brenda Hattaway. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home (202 W Maple St, Willard, OH 44890). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
