He was predeceased by: his parents, Orlo Wurts and Elizabeth Wurts (Link); and his sisters, Beverly Cline (Gaylen) and Marilyn Hartschuh. He is survived by: his children, Bernard Wurts (Kathy) of Olathe, Lorene Parkhurst of Bloomville, Kenneth Wurts (Kim) of Tiffin, Randall Wurts (Kelly) of Columbus and Rodney Wurts (Heather) of Bloomville; his grandchildren, Michael Wurts, Megan Newell, Madison Llewellen, Matthew Wurts, Gage Smoots, Karrigan Wurts and Hailey Wurts; his great grandchildren, Walker, Elliana and Clay; his sister Janis Goeller (Bill) of Perrysburg; and his brother-in-law Wayne Hartschuh of Bucyrus.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (326 S Main St, Attica, OH 44807). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at the Attica Venice Cemetery (320 Stump Pike Rd, Attica, OH 44807).
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the family.
