He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Fairbanks and Gertrude Fairbanks (Knippenberg); and his brother Bobby. He is survived by: his children, Richard Fairbanks, Victoria Fairbanks and Michael Fairbanks; his grandchildren, Kyle Carpenter, Christopher Carpenter and Johnathan Carpenter; and his brothers, Dale Fairbanks (Georgene), James Fairbanks and Ralph Fairbanks (Lynda).
