He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Schaefer and Jane Potter Schaefer; and his in-laws, Margaret Baker (Tom) and Robert Ferla. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Schaefer; his children, Doug Schaefer (Sathita), Katie Silfies (Josh) and Kelsey Blazak (Adam); his grandchildren, Liam, Lennix and Nora; his brother Terry; and his sister-in-law Kathie Bardwell.
