Eugene A. Balmert Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eugene A. Balmert of Avon Lake, Ohio, who passed away on April 18, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Balmert and Irene Balmert; and his siblings, Ken, Richard, Fred Jr., Jerome, Bernice, Marcella and Margaret.
He is survived by: his wife Gretchen Balmert; his sons, Adam Balmert and Justin Balmert (Ann); his grandchildren, Evan, Charles and Bailey; his sister Cecelia Conrad; and his siblings-in-law, Debra Farkas and Greg Sallay (Paula). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Busch Funeral Home (163 Avon Belden Rd, Avon Lake, OH 44012). A prayer was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Church (715 Harris Rd, Sheffield Lake, OH 44054). A burial was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Resthaven Memory Gardens (3700 Center Rd, Avon, OH 44011).
