Garis F. Distelhorst Obituary

We announce the death of Garis F. Distelhorst (Avon Lake, Ohio), born in Columbus, Ohio, who passed away on July 6, 2026, at the age of 84. Garis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth Distelhorst; and his sister Gail Bierman. He is survived by: his father Harold Distelhorst; his wife Helen Distelhorst; his children, Garen (Katie Flanagan), Kristen (Patrick Flesch) and Alison (Alex McKirnan); his brother Neil Distelhorst; his grandchildren, Charlie, James, Garen, Clara, George, Teddy, Jack, Harry and Annie; and his friend Buckeye.
