With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peter E. Shimrak of Avon Lake, Ohio, born in Cleveland, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 9, 2024 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by : his parents, Eli Shimrak and Ella Shimrak; and his sister Mary Perencevich. He is survived by : his wife Patricia Jean; his children, Pamela Lynch (Timothy), Peter Jr. Shimrak (Robyn) and John August Shimrak (Meg); and his grandchildren, James Lynch, Rose Lynch and Camiron Shimrak.

“It is with great sadness that I learn of the passing of Pete Shimrack. When I was with the Cavaliers, he was one of the Board Members and a great one at that. Always smart and supportive. He also provided his son, Gus, as one of my great interns. I will always be deeply appreciative of Pete.”
