It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Louis DeChant of Avon Lake, Ohio, who passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Philip DeChant and Ramona Josephine (Riedner). He is survived by: his wife Colleetta Jean DeChant (Rock); his children, Ronald Louis DeChant Jr. (Andrea), John Paul DeChant (Kate) and Lauren Jean DeChant (Alastair); his grandchildren, Emma, Lily, Kalyn and Kinley; and his siblings, Karen Mae Cameron (late Benjamin), Gerald Robert DeChant, Eugene Elmer DeChant, Robert Philip DeChant (Susan), Theresa Marie Williams (Russell), Margaret Mary Corbitt (Jeffrey) and Paul Joseph DeChant. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
