John S. Votava Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John S. Votava of Avon, Ohio, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on June 20, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, John is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that John's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Votava and Mae Votava; and his siblings, Rick and Ginny. He is survived by: his wife Clare Votava; his son Sean P. Gorman; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Lantz and Mary Votava.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Misencik Funeral Home (36363 Detroit Rd, Avon, OH 44011). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (2640 Stoney Ridge Rd, Avon, OH 44011).
