John Smitek Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Smitek of Avon, Ohio, born in North Ridgeville, Ohio, who passed away on August 19, 2022 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Marian; his parents, Nokodem Smitek and Sophia Smitek; and his siblings, Frank, James, Edward, George Smitek, Margaret Smith, Helen Mahl, Veronica Diewald and Agnes Staveski.
He is survived by: his children, Dale (Kathy), Nancy Galvin (Walter), Carole Logan (William), Mark, Jon (Janet) and Gary (Colleen); and his sister Carolyn Forthofer. He is also survived by 13 Great-Grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Avon Oaks Activities Fund or the Avon Athletic Booster Club.
