With solemn reverence, we commemorate Steve A Balog of Avon, Ohio, whose life came to an end on June 22, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Balog and Anna Balog; his brothers, George, Andrew and John Balog; and his stepbrother Bud Shepley.
He is survived by: his wife Melissa; his children, Steve, Jr., Michelle Harris, Curtis (Dawn) and Craig; and his sister Rose Hands. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel (2900 N Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH 44035). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
