He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schmiermund and Maxine Schmiermund. He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his children, Scott Schmiermund (Cindy Nyikes), Darryl Schmiermund and Michelle Wise (Russell); his grandchildren, Kassandra Schmiermund and Jacob Wise (Gabrielle); and his sisters, Renee Cestaro (Anthony) and Sally Wyman. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Avon Isle (37080 Detroit Rd, Avon, OH 44011).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
