He was predeceased by : his parents, James Henry and Etta Mae Richards (Boggs); his son Brett Richards; his son-in-law Keith Eidenier; and his sisters, Donna Marie Richards and Henryetta Richards.

He is survived by : his wife Debra Kay Richards (Palmer); his children, Jevin Richards of Bainbridge and Shannon Eidenier of Hillsboro; his grandchildren, Tori, Autumn, Hannah, Dakota, Baylie, Kayla, Tyler and Anastasia; and his siblings, Donald Richards (Jean Ann), John Richards, Ronnie Richards and Joyce Miller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
