It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Ickes of Bairdstown, Ohio, who passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janice Ickes to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Huether and Joan Huether (Blakley); her sons, Joseph Ickes and Larry Ickes; and her siblings, Mike Blakely, Constance Ish and Ruth Barringer.
She is survived by: her children, Shanon Ickes (late Denise) of Bairdstown, Kandy Pixley (James) of Hammansburg and Sherry Whitmore; and her siblings, Walter Huether, James Huether of Findlay, Eugene "Bugs" Huether of Findlay, David Blakely of Arlington, Jacqeline Huether of Findlay, Brenda Beck of Findlay and Rita Huether of Findlay. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Smith-Crates Funeral Home (515 N Main St, North Baltimore, OH 45872). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to any Veteran's Charity of the donor's choice.
