He is survived by: his wife Melissa Thedans Smeal; his son David Smeal II (Cindy); his pets, Jax and Platti; his father Robert Smeal (Jo Mary); his siblings, Sally Kirpatrick, Kimberly Hissong and Robert Smeal Jr.; his nieces, Amber and Kamryn; his nephew Dakota; and his close friends, Bob and Bobbi Meade.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Cox-McNulty Funeral Home (222 Norton Ave, Barberton, OH 44203).
