She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Thompson and Francis Thompson; and her son Paul Tavernaris III. She is survived by: her husband James Johnston; and her children, John, Randy Grfeen, Kimberly Haggard and Veronica Steed. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home (788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron, OH 44314). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
