She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Greathouse and Lissie Greathouse; her son Michael; her granddaughter Cristina Coon; and her siblings, Emma Jean Greathouse, Arthur and Holt Greathouse.
She is survived by: her husband William L.; her children, John David Greathouse (Joyce), William Clegg II, Tonia Cruz (Frank), Tammie Young (Bill) and Vonda Clegg (Butch); and her siblings, Roy "Joker" Greathouse, Carl Greathouse, Eloise Stout, Barbara McGuire and Willadean Vorsek. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
Joy loved quilting and made dolls to donate for the woman's shelter.
