June Carter Obituary
We announce the death of June Carter of Barberton, Ohio, who passed away on June 8, 2026, at the age of 88. June will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe Oxley and Martha Oxley (Hickman); her former husband Carl Caldwell; her husband Ronald Carter of Carter's Burger Habit; her children, Daniel L. Carter and Dawn Carter; and her siblings, Gail Oxley (Delores), Alice Milburn (Virgil) and Robert Oxley (Dorothy).
She is survived by: her daughters, Martha Smith of Canton and Cindy Ferry of Cuyahoga Falls; her grandchildren, Hannah Carter, Bethany Carter, Zachary Smith (Emily) and Chad Smith; her great grandchildren, Levi, Seli and Zamirah; and her close friend Dan Spiker.
Memorials in honor of June may be made to the Arbor Day Foundation or plant a tree in her memory.
