He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roxie B. (Vincent) and Herman Shaffer; his siblings, Herman Shaffer, Karolyn Davisson and Belva Burlingame of Green; his siblings-in-law, Chuck (Julie), Joe, Forrest Sharier and Helene Alderman; his pet Little Buddy; his wife Sandra Shaffer (Sharier); his stepson Ross Blankenship of Clinton; his grandsons, Joshua, Ethan, Joel and Ben; his brothers-in-law, Paul Sharier (Martina), Forest Sharier and Dave Sharier (Monika); and also, Gage Norem and John Primrose.
