He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Carpenter and Elizabeth "Pete" Carpenter (Triplett); his wife Connie Sue Carpenter (Luyster); his son Michael Carpenter; and his siblings, Sherry Christine Luyster and Gary Carpenter.
He is survived by: his children, Machelle Carpenter, Mark Carpenter and Chris Carpenter (Jill); his sister Jeannie Carpenter; and his pet Blitz. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
