He was predeceased by: his parents, Meredith Samples and Margaret Samples (Kesterson); his significant other Tina Courim; and his brother Charles Kesterson. He is survived by: his children, Angela Dennis of Dillonvale and Nick Samples; his siblings, Patricia Conley of Barnesville, James Samples of Massillon and Donald Samples of Barnesville; and his grandchildren, Kurt, Gracie and Kai.
