He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Carpenter and Elizabeth Carpenter (Triplett); his sister Sherry Luyster; and his nephew Mike Carpenter. He is survived by: his siblings, Jeannie Thompson and Mike Carpenter; and his siblings' children, Paula Fankhauser (Neal), Machelle Carpenter, Jeff Thompson, Mark Carpenter and Chris Carpenter (Jill).
