He was predeceased by: his parents, Hila Carpenter and Civilla Carpenter (Stephen); his son John Glenn Carpenter; his granddaughter Raven Jae; and his brothers, Melvin Carpenter and Marvin Carpenter.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Ann Carpenter; his daughter Shannon McEndree; his grandchildren, Caitlyn Rose Carpenter and Peyton Rosemarie McEndree; his great grandchild Darren Robbin Hardy; his siblings, Vallas Carpenter (Helen) and Melva Howell; and his brother-in-law David Bell (Jody). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
