He was predeceased by: his father Harold Steele; his wife Geneva B. Steele (Wells); his son Timothy G. Steele; and his sister Maxine Shepherd Peddicord (Steele). He is survived by: his daughter Susie Powell (Tim) of Barnesville; his daughter-in-law Joyce Steele of Barnesville; his grandchildren, Matt Powell (Penny) of Barnesville, Michelle Rodriguez (Carmelo) of Virginia, Jeremy Powell (Heather) of Barnesville, Seth Steele (Natalie) of Pleasant City, Corey Powell (Nikki) of Barnesville, Aaron Steele (Cassie) of Barnesville and Jessica Burghy (C. J.) of Barnesville; and his nieces and nephews, Judy Johnson (Dave), Carolyn Reed (George), Rick Shepherd (Vicki), John Wells (Diane), Dan Wells (Patti) and Dick Wells (Patty). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dick's name to St. Jude's or Somerton Cemetery Association.
