Shirley Ellis Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ellis of Barnesville, Ohio, who passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman J. Bell and Katherine Bell (Lucas); her brothers, Charles Emmett Bell, Bernard Curtis and Joseph L. Bell; and her friend Hollis "Slim" Hayes.
She is survived by: her children, Gina Carvin (Steve) of Barnesville, Carla Clark (Tim) of Magnolia and Sherman Ellis (Glenda) of Bethesda; her grandchildren, Jenna Whitmore (Zachary) and Charles E. Clark (Jamie); and her great grandchildren, Charlie Rose Whitmore, Emmett Clark and Jenna Clark. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home (319 N Chestnut St, Barnesville, OH 43713). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at the Southern Cemetery South Lincoln (357 S Lincoln Ave, Barnesville, OH 43713).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
