He was predeceased by: his parent Harper R. Murphy; his great grandchild Eli Wells; his sister Carol; and his sister-in-law Ruth Ann Walls. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Murphy; his children, Thomas Murphy Jr. (JoAnn), Mariann Webster (Ed) and Molly Wells (Wesley); his grandchildren, Kelly Murphy (Samantha), Colin Murphy (Victoria), Nathan Webster (Sarah), Gregory Webster, Christopher Wells (Brittney) and Joshua Wells (Morganne); his brother Robert (Ruth Ann); and his stepsister Ellen Frank. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Barnesville, Belmont County Cat Stray Schun, and St. Jude.
