With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry G. Swander of Bascom, Ohio, who passed away on April 10, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Swander and Catherine Swander (Stever); his siblings, Pearl Hepp and Daryl Swander; his daughter-in-law Tracy Swander; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Hoover, Joe Hoover, John Hepp, Olie Saum, Lou Audritsh, Anne Monaco, Mary Saum, Helen Audritsh, Marty Swander and Mary Hoover.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Swander of Bascom; his children, Randy (Genise) of Canton, Steve Swander, Karen Swander (Bruce Bolen) of Bascom and Diane Swander of Cleveland Heights; his brother Jim Swander of Pinedale, AZ; his siblings-in-law, Kay Swander of Laguna Woods, CA, Lynn Hoover of Bascom and John Hoover (Marg) of Bascom; his grandchildren, Justin Swander of Tiffin, Wesley Swander (Karena) of Tiffin, Jessica Swander of Canton, Zachary Swander (Neidalis) of Canton, Joshua Swander (Angela) of Medina, Corey Depinet (Terese) of Tiffin and Joshua Depinet of Tiffin; and his great grandchildren, Jayden, Autumn, Brody, Jordan, Josh, Carrigan, Benjamin, Maxwell, Melanie, McKenna, Braylen, Jaron, Kiera, Blake, Ally and Elana.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bascom Lion's Club, Friends of Meadowbrook Park, Stein Hospice, or Financial Assistance for Cancer Treatment (FACT – Seneca County).
