With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Ann Unger-Skinner of Batavia, Ohio, who passed away on July 8, 2025 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Robert and Mildred Eileen Unger (Hoffer); her son Charles Robert Skinner (Chuck); her siblings, Robert Lee Unger, Nellie Margaret Unger and Timothy Wayne Unger; and her grandparents, Samuel Benjamin Unger, Tabitha E. Cooper Unger (Bitha), Edward Hoffer and Lillie Mae Stevens Hoffer.
She is survived by: her son Mike Unger (Lori); her grandchildren, Tiffany Janes (Bo), Joseph Unger (Leslie), Alexandra Martian (Brandon), Jennifer Ottaway (Carl) and Brittany Skinner; and her siblings, Alva Eugene Unger (Rhonda), William Thomas Unger, Lloyd Earl Unger (Bonnie), Pauline Unger Mingua (Andy) and Wilma Faye Unger Fizer (Terry). She is also survived by Great Grandchildren, many Nieces & Nephews, and numerous friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home (216 W Mulberry St, West Union, OH 45693). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at the Old Hoffer Hill Cemetery.
