He was predeceased by: his mother Carol Layne (Eglian); and his stepfather Walter Layne. He is survived by: his father Ralph Vaughan; his wife Tammy Layne; his children, Lacey Layne and Jace Layne (Savannah); the mother of his child Carol Layne; and his siblings, Rodney Layne (Jenny), Dale Layne, Steve Layne and Penny Wagner (Bill). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Community Family Church (11875 Taylor Mill Rd, Independence, KY 41051). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens (5336 Old Taylor Mill Rd, Taylor Mill, KY 41015).
