He was predeceased by: his parent Jessie Spitzer; and his siblings, Donna Bethel and Doren Bethel. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bethel; his children, James Anthony Bethel and Sonya Lynn Brewer; his grandchildren, James Anthony Bethel, Jr., Nicholas Bonavita, John Bonavita, Kirby Brewer and Amanda Brewer; his great grandchild Kemuel Batchelor; and his sister Betty Humphries.
