James C. touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parent Jessie Spitzer; and his siblings, Donna Bethel and Doren Bethel. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bethel; his children, James Anthony Bethel and Sonya Lynn Brewer; his grandchildren, James Anthony Bethel, Jr., Nicholas Bonavita, John Bonavita, Kirby Brewer and Amanda Brewer; his great grandchild Kemuel Batchelor; and his sister Betty Humphries.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Victory Baptist Church (4577 OH-276, Batavia, OH 45103). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
