She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Ward and Hope Ward (Swogger); her husband David Gardner; her daughter Shelia Schumacher; and her siblings, Richard Ward, Terry Ward, Carl Ward, Mike Ward, Keith Ward, Bessie Balog, Michelle King and Phyllis Ward.
She is survived by: her children, Candy Gragg, Dale Gardner of Peebles and Robert Gardner of Peebles; and her sisters, Sharon Kimberly, Marsha Harmon, Juanita Ward, Debra Payton, Camille Anderson and Robin. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
