She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar McCoy and Cora McCoy; her husband James Applegate; and her siblings, Beatrice Lutkehaus, Donald McCoy, Betty Cook, Patsy Shaw, Robert McCoy, Dorothy Webb and Peggy Keefer.
She is survived by: her son Edgar Akin (Verna); her granddaughter Tammy Rooks (Jeff); her great grandchildren, Amanda Bonifield (Chiam), Patrick Rooks (Sara), Crystal Rooks and Jessica Pearson (Gerald); and her brother James McCoy. She is also survived by 5 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests friends and family make donations to a charity of their choice.
