He was predeceased by: his parents, Clay Powers and Pauline Powers; and his siblings, Bonnie Willis and Randall Powers. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca; his children, John Powers (Susan), Larry Powers (Diane), Richard "Rick" Powers (Ruth), Reba Powers (late Laura) and Ramona Powers (Candace); and his stepson Chris Ellis (Salie). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Book Hotel Moore Family Funeral Homes - Batavia (225 Spring St, Batavia, OH 45103). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at the Book Hotel Williamsburg Cemetery (824 Gay St, Williamsburg, OH 45176).
