We bid farewell to Shirley J. Halcomb in Batavia, Ohio, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 6, 2025 at the age of 89. Shirley touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence Halcomb; her parents, Price Riddell and Virginia Riddell; her grandson Tony Franz; and her sister Jo Ann Dalton.

She is survived by: her children, Lee Franz of Batavia, Ohio, Andrew Metz (Nina) of Newtonsville, Ohio, Bruce Metz (Rita) of Batavia, Ohio and Vincent Metz (Kimberly) of New Richmond, Ohio.; her grandchildren, Don Franz, April Kelch, Danielle Metz and Ashley Mays; and her great grandchildren, Donny Franz, Dylan Franz, Kaelynn Metz, Aubree Metz and Kyleigh Kelch.
