He is survived by: his wife Ginny Reid Matern; his children, James, Amanda, Barron and David; his grandchildren, Tommy, Sarah, Alex, Chandler, Cade, Sofia, Gideon and Barron; his great grandchildren, Eli, Ben and Charlie; and his sister Donna Matern.
