He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Hibbard and Lorin Hibbard; and his brother Ed Hibbard. He is survived by: his wife Geri Hibbard; his sons, Mike (Diane), Mark (Trisha) and Greg Hibbard; his grandchildren, Lauren (Jack), Allison, Sean, Mack, Logan and Charlie; and his sisters, Lorene Hibbard and Katie Apel (Jerry).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T).
