He is survived by : his children, Margaret Sliman and H. Jordan Lee Merkel (Tess); his grandson Christopher Daniel Sliman; his great grandchild Ryker Thomas Sliman; and his siblings, Barbara Woolf, Anne Rawle, Phillip A. Merkel (Cis) and Lee Ferguson Merkel.
