He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Benson and Nellie Harper Benson; and his siblings, Ken Benson, Francis Benson and Esther Ried.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy Elerick Benson; his children, Amanda Mignano (Scott), Christopher Benson, Daniel Benson, Alicia Benson and Shawn Benson (Jordan); and his brother Ed Benson (Shauna). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many family members and friends.
