She was predeceased by: her parents, Norflet Chapman and Beatrice Chapman. She is survived by: her husband Jesse Robert Tiller; her siblings, Beautine, Norflet Jr. (Bill), Delores, Vernetta and Essie; her child Broderick; her grandchildren, Nestor (Alene), Tierney, Ariyen and Natalia; and her siblings, Bernadine Warren and Clyde Chapman.
In 2020, Jether was characterized as a Covid Warrior for being one of the first African American area residents to be vaccinated at University Hospitals Covid Clinic.
