He was predeceased by: his father James; his son Keith Askew; and his sister Emma Valentine. He is survived by: his wife Glendora Askew; his family Basim Muhammad; his grandchildren, Arielle Askew (Shon), Keith Askew (Hailey) and Yejide Muhammad (Abdul Latif); his great grandchildren, Britton, Kailey, Camari and Leyali; his siblings, Henry Askew (Rebecca), Willie Horace Askew (Eddie Mae) and Carlean Thomas; and his cousins, Helen Noble, Julia Walthour and Robert Woodfalk. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tribute Calhoun Funeral Home (23000 Rockside Rd, Bedford Heights, OH 44146). A wake was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Cemetery Cemetery Hillcrest Memorial Park and Cemetery (26200 Aurora Rd, Bedford Heights, OH 44146). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Calhoun Funeral Home (23000 Rockside Rd, Bedford Heights, OH 44146). A burial was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at the Hillcrest Memorial Park and Cemetery (26200 Aurora Rd, Bedford Heights, OH 44146).
