She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Vincent and Shirley Ann Payne; her son Cole Shawhan; her siblings, Jeanne, Thomas, Stephen and James Payne; and her pet Bonz.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas D. Shawhan; her sons, Jon Ferrell and Stu Shawhan; and her grandchildren, Emma Paige Shawhan, Daniel Anthony Myers and Cameron Joseph Ferrell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
