He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rayford and Catherine Rayford; Laura Rayford Biggs (David Sr.), Julia Mae Rayford Vasser, Ardell Rayford Holmes (Charles Sr.), Elijah Rayford (Astie Lee), Dazarine "Portia" Rayford Lowe (James Sr.), Herman Rayford, Henry Rayford, Glorious Diane "Ann" Bell, Bernest "Bump" Rayford and Emmanuel "Ricky" Rayford.

He is survived by: his children, Levi Rayford Jr. (Maryann), Sherry Rayford McGriff (Isaiah) and Joanne Rayford Hill (Jay); his wife Annie Lee Gilmer; his grandchild Devan; his great grandchild Hayden; his siblings, Minnie Mae Rayford Blackmon, Rachel Lee Rayford Mitchell, Willie James Rayford, Mary "Lois" Rayford Hatcher, Brenda Faye Rayford, Geraldine Rayford Barron, Ronald "Billy" Rayford and Gregory Rayford; and his siblings-in-law, Walter Vasser, John Bell and Eula Rayford.

Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the New Beginnings AME Church (5620 Lafayette Ave, Cleveland, OH 44137).
