She was predeceased by: her parents, Vera McAllister (Kirkland) and Harry McAllister; her husband Donald E. Nelson; her daughter Eileen Taylor; and her siblings, Robert McAllister and Lois Rogers.

She is survived by: her son Jeff Nelson (Susan) of Bellaire; her sister Phyllis Coleman of Florida; her grandchildren, Jeff Nelson, Jr. and Amanda Rossbach; and her great grandchildren, Austin Roe, Roe and Connar Rossbach. She is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews.
