He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Brewster and Bernice Brewster Stepp (Daniels); his son Christopher C. Brewster; and his siblings, Joretta Butcher (Buddy), Lilly Painter (Russ), David Brewster and Jack Brewster, Sr. (Barbara).
He is survived by: his wife Goldie P. Brewster (Salmons); his daughter N. Renae Sylvester-Schultz (Jason Schultz); his grandchildren, Stephanie Sylvester (Kyle Knouff), Madison Jones (Dillon), Alicia Sylvester (Colin Bonine), Sierra Schultz (Ricky Williams) and Tyler; his great grandchildren, Camden, Emilia, Charlotte, MacKenzie, Katelynn, Levi, Sophia, Oakley, Kinslee and Korbin; his siblings-in-law, James Salmons, Jr., Bonnie Jones (Terry) and Nancy Alles (Ralph); and his son-in-law Steven Sylvester. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends.
As a management engineer, he made noteworthy contributions, culminating in his recognition as the 1996 Manpower and Quality Management Civilian of the Year (Headquarters Category) for his outstanding contributions to the manpower and quality management program while a member of the Requirements Branch, Manpower and Organization Division, Directorate of Plans and Programs, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command.
