He was predeceased by : his parents, Claude Ehrler and Jesse Ehrler. He is survived by : his wife Carole J. Ehrler; his daughters, Valerie Frank (Ken) and Angela Hagedorn (Michael); his grandchildren, Taylor Witscher (Christopher), Effie Frank and Gianna Hagedorn; his stepgrandsons, James Hagedorn (Catalina), Christopher Hagedorn (Joy) and Nicholas Hagedorn (Jeanna); his great grandchildren, Greyson, Liam, Olivia, Sofia and Lara; and his brother Dennis Ehrler (Gary).
